About the Mural

This mural is the largest Fairey has installed in Cincinnati. It's made up three zones of imagary.

The furthest left zone contains Mujar Fatal, CAC Cincinnati (created just for the CAC show), M16 vs AK47, Rise Above Cop and Stay Up Girl.

The center zone contains Obey Eye, Jasper Johns Red (one of the first American contemporary artists who began using popular culture references in the 50's and 60' in his work), Kiss Me Deadly Red (where lipstick has been replaced with a bullet), and Eye Alert Cream (which Fairey has stated is about his disappointment in the healthcare system in the U.S.).

The right hand zone contains Nubian Sign and Peace Fingers. This collection of imagery seems to encouraging viewers to buck mainstream culture and move beyond war and hate towards love and acceptance.
